Speech Therapy
Nurture’s speech therapy team utilize a play based approach to facilitate feeding and communication through play.
Occupational Therapy
Playology’s occupational therapy team put the “fun” in function. We utilize task analysis to empower children to be as independent as they can be in all activities of daily living.
Family Support
Playology and Nurture have paired up to provide focused play groups, therapeutic groups, and caregiver support groups.
Meet Your Occupational Therapist
Havilah Champoux, M.S., OTR
Owner, Occupational Therapist
Havilah is a native to Northern Indiana. She has a background in mental health and worked in the social services profession prior to jumping into the occupational therapy career. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in Youth, Adult, and Family Services and Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Indiana University in Indianapolis. She has experience working with children of all abilities in the outpatient, acute, and school settings. After having a premature infant, she felt led to form Playology Pediatric Therapy to provide another access point for quality therapy services in Northern Indiana. Havilah utilizes a child led approach to empower and challenge the child to reach their goals.

Allison Pascarella, MA, CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
Allison has been working as a Speech Language Pathologist for 25 years in community based, home care and clinics. During her graduate work and for the last 25 years she has worked passionately with children and their families to facilitate home routines and play experiences that encourage optimal feeding and communication growth for children. Nurture Pediatric Therapy is her dream of bringing comprehensive therapy with family support to the Michiana area.

Heidi Zehner, B.S., COTA/L
Creative Director, Occupational Therapy Assistant
Heidi graduated from Huntington University in 2020 with her Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant. After graduating, Heidi began her career working with children in the outpatient setting. Heidi has had the opportunity to work with kids of various ages and pediatric conditions. She uses her clinical thinking skills to create a therapeutic environment that is instructive, meaningful, and unique to encompass a holistic approach!

Are You Ready to Get Started with Therapy?
We offer speech and occupational therapy. In home therapy is an option for children with complex needs, these cases are considered based on therapist availability.
Step One
Contact us to discuss your concerns and answer your questions. If an evaluation is recommended, we will schedule to meet for our first appointment.
Step Two
The evaluation will focus on gathering information about your child’s skills and areas of struggle. This may include formal and informal testing. We will work with you to create a therapy plan unique to your child’s specific needs.
Step Three
Therapy sessions will be scheduled at a frequency that matches your child’s needs, availability, and the recommendations of the therapist.
Insurance & billing
We currently accept most Commercial Insurance and Medicaid plans. Contact us to learn more about the plans that we accept. We also provide super bills for out of network plans so that you can submit for reimbursement.
